Did you know? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 15 of the 30 fastest growing occupations in the United States require a background in science during high school. With this in mind, Walton-Verona offers the following science courses: Ecology, Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Physics, Veterinary Technology, Agriscience, and Greenhouse Technology.
According to the performance of past WV students, those who take chemistry score 3 points higher on the science section of the ACT than those who don't. Those who take both chemistry and physics score 6 points higher.
To achieve the aforementioned success, the science department reccommends students take Ecology, Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, and an elective science credit.
